Patricia Cuervo, DDS
Meet Dr. Cuervo
Dr. Clara Patricia Cuervo was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She attended Colegio San Falcón in Bogotá, and following graduation she attended Colegio Odontologico Colombiano, Facultad de Odontologia graduating in 1984. Dr. Cuervo attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington DC. After earning her DDS degree, Dr. Cuervo then entered into private practice in 1987. Since then Dr. Cuervo practices exclusively in North Bethesda/Rockville Maryland and continues to take advanced training in various aspects of General Dentistry. She has always exceeded the continuing education requirements of the state of Maryland.
Dr. Cuervo also enjoys volunteering her time for those in need of dental services. She is a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
As a dedicated wife and mother of two children, Dr. Cuervo has many interests outside of Dentistry. She enjoys time with family, cooking, traveling, mountain biking, hiking and yoga.
Brian Garner, DDS
Meet Dr. Brian
Dr. Brian Garner was raised in Silver Spring, MD, and spent many summers with Dr. Cuervo as an intern at North Bethesda Dentistry. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s then studied dentistry at the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Dentistry. While there, he was the Vice President of the Hispanic Dental Association, and founded the Dental Sleep Medicine Special Interest Group. Dr. Brian Garner has been passionate about comprehensive sleep and airway health, and has taken numerous education courses along with independent research on the topic. He also received the Maryland State Dental Association Foundation Award for Community Engagement, in large part thanks to his efforts in service to the community through volunteer dental clinics. The doctor was also invited to the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society for academic and clinical excellence demonstrated in the field of prosthodontic studies.
When Dr. Garner has some down time, he enjoys lifting weights, watching sports, camping, and cooking delicious meals for his friends and family. He is proud to be upholding the legacy Dr. Cuervo has upheld in her over 35 years of practice here in North Bethesda.
Dr. Brian Garner joined our team in 2024 and is excited to work with new and familiar faces on their oral health as well as sleep and airway needs.
